How to Submit a Takedown Request
If you own content and believe it has been misused through SnapDL, send a takedown request using the contact form above or by email. To help us act quickly, please include all of the following:
- The video link — the YouTube URL of the video concerned, and the SnapDL page or result where it appeared if you know it.
- Description of the issue — a short explanation of what is wrong, for example that the video is yours and was made available without your permission.
- Proof of ownership — evidence that you own the rights to the content, such as a link to the original upload on your channel, a copyright registration, or other documentation that identifies you as the rights holder.
- Your contact details — your full name, email address, and (if you are acting for a company or organisation) your role and the name of the organisation.
- A good-faith statement — a short statement that you believe in good faith that the content is used without your authorisation, and that the information in your request is accurate.
Incomplete requests take longer to process. If anything is missing, we may write back to ask for it before we can act.
What Happens After You Submit
- We review every takedown request promptly.
- If the request is complete and valid, we remove the link to the infringing content.
- If the request is unclear or incomplete, we will contact you at the email address you provided to ask for the missing details.
- We do not store, host, or keep copies of any video or audio file — SnapDL processes each request on demand — so a takedown means the link to the content is removed from our service.
Expected Response Time
We aim to acknowledge takedown requests within 2–3 business days and to act on valid, complete requests promptly after that. General questions and bug reports are usually answered within a few business days.
A Note on Misuse
Submitting a false or misleading takedown request can have legal consequences. Please only submit a request if you genuinely own the rights to the content or are authorised to act on the rights holder’s behalf.
