SnapDL is a free, browser-based YouTube downloader at https://downloader.1v1lol.sbs. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect and what we do with it. In short: we collect almost nothing, we store no videos, and we never sell your data.
What Data We Collect
We do not require accounts
SnapDL has no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details to use the downloader.
Video links you paste
When you paste a YouTube link or search for a video, that link or search term is used once to fetch the video’s available formats. It is processed on demand and is not kept after your request finishes. We do not store, host, or keep copies of any video or audio file you download.
Server logs
Like most websites, our server may keep basic technical logs — such as the time of a request, the type of browser, and the pages requested — to keep the site running and to spot abuse. These logs are not used to identify individual visitors.
Rate limiting
To keep the service fair, we limit how many requests one visitor can make per hour. This uses a temporary, anonymised record tied to your network address. It expires automatically and is not linked to any identity.
Cookies and Analytics
SnapDL itself does not set tracking cookies. If analytics or advertising tools are added later, this policy will be updated to describe them.
Your browser may store basic preferences (such as whether a file was downloaded) locally on your own device. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Third-Party Links
SnapDL links out to YouTube and to the video files it returns. When you click through to YouTube or another site, that site’s own privacy policy applies — we are not responsible for how other sites handle your data. We recommend reading YouTube’s privacy policy before using their service.
Children’s Privacy
SnapDL is a general-purpose tool and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Security
Because we do not store accounts, videos, or personal details, there is very little of your data to protect — and we keep it that way. Technical logs are held only as long as needed to run and secure the site.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date above. We encourage you to check this page from time to time.
Privacy Questions
If you have a question about this policy or about your data, contact us through the Contact page. We will do our best to answer within a few business days.
